2009 Green Cities Conference and Expo

The 2009 Green Cities Conference and Expo will focus on the unique knowledge and resources needed by city governments and will draw upon the experiences of cities around the world.

Sponsored by the National League of Cities, the first Green Cities Conference and Expo will be held at the Oregon Convention Center. The Expo will include showcases of green technology, and the conference will include

• Networking and action planning sessions
• Leadership Training Institute Seminars
• Opportunities to update or develop comprehensive sustainability plans
• General sessions, workshops about programs that work
• Pre-conference mobile workshops that show why Portland, Oregon is consistently ranked as one of America’s greenest cities
• A post-conference connection to a 2009 Earth Day event
